With modern optimization systems, it is now common and profitable to cut long boards into two with a higher combined value than the original board. We offer two cut-in-two solutions in a single operation.
First, for slower production rates, we can install a reset transfer with an upper and lower element between the guides. When the second board rests on the lower element, it is in contact with the rollers, which guide it toward the wood line.

For higher rates, we offer an automated system that creates a space for the second board only as needed. When a guide is left free depends on when the computer is programmed to cut a board in two. If it is programmed at the loader, it will leave a space behind the board to be cut in two. If it is programmed after the loader, the production line must then be moved by two variable-speed motors instead of one. The computer can then slow down the first section until the board to be cut reaches the second section. Then the line is accelerated back to the same rate.
