To be able to remove pieces from your production line, you must add a gate. Carbotech International offers three motorized gate options depending on the speed of your production line and the dimensions of the pieces to remove.
CLASSIC GATE
The first consists of a classic gate with roller chains activated by one or more pneumatic cylinders. It is ideal for production lines that do not exceed approximately 100 pieces per minute.
HIGH SPEED CLASSIC GATE
The second option consists of two classic gates installed face-to-face. The first gate opens downward and the other opens upward. This configuration makes it possible to achieve higher production rates while maintaining the visibility and simplicity of a conventional gate.

I BAR
The third option consists of a gate module similar to push sorters. This “L-bar” solution makes it possible to achieve very high production rates while maintaining control of pieces between two attachments. With this configuration, you can easily install as many gates as you need. These modules pivot around a shaft and are equipped with pneumatic chain tension adjusters for easier and faster maintenance.
With the advent of cut-in-two systems, all our gate systems are also available in smart mode, where each gate is independently controlled. This allows you to remove part of a long board (already cut in two) while the rest continues on its way. This adds a great degree of flexibility to your trimmer’s cutting pattern, enabling you to recover more wood for increased profitability.
