« In 1999 we purchase a complete Carbotech planer mill. From that date, we always increase the mill performances. Actually we operate at speeds up to 2200 FPM that means: 135 ppm on 2’’x4’’x16’ production and in 2’’x4’’x8’ at 180 ppm. We have reach 850 000 MBF in one shift in 2’’x6’’x16’ production.
Because of the Carbotech team and their latest technologies, we are now operating one of the most performing planer mill in the industry. Visitors from all over North America and Europe had made a mill tour and all got home very impress.
Last year we did an other project with Carbotech team but this time the sawmill outfeed. Carbotech replace the trimmer optimiser line, they modified the sorter and add many bins. We also replace the outfeed with their high speed stacker with secondary forks, and their automatic sticker feeder system.
Actually, at the sawmill we are producing 350 000 MBF per shift and it get better each day. I also have to tell you that at Carbotech the after sales service really mean something and they are always in contact with us to make sure that we optimise their equipments.
